The 150,000-square-foot Life Sciences Building is connected by aerial walkway to the Chemistry Building; together they form a landmark “Gateway to the Sciences” on Penn State’s University Park campus. R.H. Marcon Inc. installed 20,000 square feet of zinc-coated, Freedom Gray Revere Copper panels on walls, roofing, and fascia. Marcon crews installed the panels with copper clips concealed in the double- locked standing seams. Interspersed throughout the |
building exterior were about 7,200 square feet of Alucobond aluminum panels. Marcon played a multifaceted role in the construction of the Life Sciences Building. Other tasks included waterproofing the foundation and installing 33,600 square feet of totally adhered Firestone TPO roofing. | ||
